I had a proper ‘about me’ page here full of all the cool projects I’ve done and the fancy people I’ve worked alongside, all of which I am extremely grateful for. It included the actors I’m ‘like’ and could play relatives of and networks I’m right for and that’s all good. I’ll happily talk business with you all day, any day, this industry is my favorite and I’ve been obsessively studying it and diving into the deep end since I was a child. However, I think it would be a lot more interesting for you to read about the things that fill up my heart.
My sweet doggos and my three baby nephews are the loves of my life. Careful if you ask me about either because I can go on and on, and will definitely pull out pictures. The world’s cutest three year old and identical twins? It’s nearly too much. Henry Elliot Raleigh Alexander Anderson is my all-day, every day sidekick and best friend. We miss his sister, the late Layla June Ladybugs BernadettePeters Anderson, who is surely running things up in Heaven cause that tiny girlfriend did not mess around. Henry and I started rocking matching looks for photo shoots last year after losing her, which was a deep, soul changing reminder that the healing power of creating, being in front of cameras, and entertaining others will never be lost on me (and that seemingly dumb ideas are often our best ideas).
Everything Disney makes me happy, I could visit the Magic Kingdom once a month happily, and my inner child will always want to be on the Disney Channel. My fun loving, youthful spirit has me confident I’ll work for them at some point along with the Hallmark Channel. You can find me watching those terrible/fantastic Christmas movies all year long. We also go hard on Gilmore Girls, New Girl, and Parenthood, which all reflect the types of work I feel called to be a part of. Often times I end up doing deep, emotional, insightful work instead but that’s incredibly fun, too. Acting, singing, songwriting, writing, and all forms of storytelling is my favorite way to spend time. Making people laugh - whether it’s my sweet nephews (have you heard babies laugh?!) or total strangers - and feel and reflect and speak up and take a little step toward their truth through movies and tv and songs and theatre is my life’s work. I love it so much.
I feel most alive in recording studios, in front of cameras, on long runs or hikes, bouncing around Los Angeles, or going to the beach in the grand state of New Jersey. I’m down with church, crafting, kindness, green tea, vegan food, reading, and helping people find pets to adopt instead of buy. I’m weirdly happy, do my best not to drink coffee, and freaking love Mondays. I think it’ll be fun if we get to work together. I hope you’re living your dreams. I’m glad as heck to be living mine, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
PS: if you're looking for Kerry Alexander, that's me! I used to work as Kerry Alexander until 2013 when I switched to my first and middle names.
